As the "step" portion of the name indicates, it gives you a solid place to safely stand for everyday tasks, such as loading a roof rack, racking a bike or kayak, or washing the top of your vehicle. BumpStep also helps guard against dings, dents and scratches to your back bumper, protecting your vehicle from careless motorists, or in the event “the object in the mirror is closer than it appears”.
